As a Freelancer, I take on many projects ranging from logo design to one-on-one tutoring for college and graduate-level learners needing assistance in graphic design, web design, and advertising. As a logo designer, I have created responsive logos for companies/brands such as paint and sip studios, music producers, fashion/clothing lines, and blogs. My website development projects involve creating custom-built WordPress theme/websites and extended to managing Search Engine Marketing and Optimization and maintaining care and maintenance of the built website. As a print designer, I crafted wedding invitations, save-the-dates, business cards, brochures, posters, banners, white pages, and catalogs, many of my print jobs involved communicating with printer to maintain accuracy and continuity of brands.

Since July 2020, I have been passionately integrating technology into the classroom to enrich student learning and digital fluency. I've developed and implemented a comprehensive digital literacy curriculum that includes coding, web development, and multimedia tools, significantly enhancing our students' problem-solving skills and technological competence. My role also involves leading professional development for colleagues and fostering community engagement to support our educational technology initiatives. I'm dedicated to leveraging innovative technologies to transform teaching and learning, making it more engaging and accessible.

During my tenure from June to September 2023, I spearheaded the development and maintenance of web content that significantly enhanced the educational and outreach missions of Rutgers Cancer Institute. My responsibilities included crafting accessible, engaging, and current digital content for various audiences, including healthcare professionals and the general public. I managed updates and content creation for the institute’s website and SharePoint, ensuring information was up-to-date and compliant with ADA and WCAG 2.2 standards. Additionally, I developed effective communication strategies using Constant Contact to engage and inform diverse stakeholders effectively.

At A Sip Of Art, I demonstrated my understanding of various mediums while providing an enjoyable atmosphere in the studio space and offsite events. I exhibited the following skills: Having knowledge of art history and different art genres in order to teach a range of art styles, demonstrated my ability to communicate concrete and abstract concepts to students while actively spotting and cultivating creativity in my students, consistently promoted the company through social media with photography and special events advertisement, and managed front of the house checking in guests, processing payments, and supervising the main floor. In addition, used my graphic design skills to create print and digital materials for the studio.

At 9SAIL, I worked as a graphic designer, web designer, and web developer, a great majority of my work involved developing WordPress websites from custom-build to theme editing. I designed graphics for my website projects using stock imagery and original images. I built WordPress sites using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. Along with developing WordPress websites, I managed the initial SEO set-up.

As a Graphic Designer at Sneeze It, I designed and curated monthly social media posts for multiple clients. Composed landing pages using UX principles and practices. Clients included Vitalicious, Fitness Connection, Drink the District, and Aspire Federal Credit Union. I worked closely with the CEO/Business owner and attended kick-off meetings. I maintained direct communication with domestic and international managers.

I worked at Target for 10 years, and over that span of time, I proved to management that I was dependable, reliable, a self-starter, and motivated to create a lasting experience for guests/customers. At Target I was afforded opportunities to work in many departments and career paths such as cashier, sales floor team member, stockroom team member, flex team member, and guest services team member. My duties included the following: unpacking merchandise, and preparing them for sales floor by folding, hanging, or stacking, organizing and maintaining merchandise in stockrooms, and filling in the sales floor or stockroom, greeting guests on sales floor and to aid in locating merchandise for guests, pulling merchandise for online customers and deliver to the designated area for Guest Services, and upholding Target’s motto of Fast, Fun, and Friendly service.

As a Commercial Art Teacher, I developed lessons based on Advertising and 21st Century Skills (Graphic Design, Web Design, & Technology). I incorporated and strengthened a few of my skills as a teacher, I was resourceful in my use of materials and my ability to have my projects funded such as getting the community to support the acquiring of a heat transfer unit for my silkscreening lesson, and the use of donations to acquire web design books for my web design club. I also taught 2 sections of AP Studio Art and all the students enrolled scored high marks and received college credit for doing so. I also collaborated with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans that centered on Kinetic Art Sculpture and Graphic Novels.
