I am a family therapist and community health advocate. I use my 11 years of experience in therapy with program management skills to increase access to healthy living and reduce chronic diseases.My treatment and community health philosophy is to help clients work towards gaining physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and to recognize their own personal history, believes, and attitudes in identifying and overcoming barriers. My clinical experience includes working for 11 years in inpatient and outpatient facilities with clients who have issues of anxiety, depression, substance abuse and mental, emotional, and relational concerns. I have advocated and orchestrated community programs that increase access to fresh produce in food desserts and support the local agricultural system, connected residents with physical activity opportunities and health resources, and worked to create successful cross-community collaborations.
