I was hired as a technical lead for the HR product and over time became the product manager and development manager. During my tenure we rolled localizations in from UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands. We also added additional functionality for Japan, Canada and the U.S. I managed several employees in all of these countries and received a heck of a multi-national education.
