I have always loved the thrill of discovery that comes with learning a little bit more about how our world works, and that is what made economics so fascinating to me even from a young age. You can see economic principles at work everywhere you go, and I enjoy observing that and sharing it with others - I once used the routine trading of MRE (Meals Ready-to-Eat) components to explain gains from trade to a few of my fellow Marines that cared to listen.After completing my undergraduate studies, I brought that curiosity into the financial industry where I obtained my securities licenses. My years as a professional in the financial sector motivated me to pursue my recently-completed master’s degree with its emphasis on real-world applications and quantitative methods. My ambition is now to take all that I have learned and employ it with excellence toward purposeful work. I want to put my analytical and research skills to use with a curious and intellectually rigorous team where I can make significant contributions while continuously learning more about my field.Beyond the skills listed in my resume, I am also known to be a strong collaborator and communicator with my peers, and my successful service in the Marine Corps means that I know how to plan and adapt under rigorous deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail.
