Living and working in Spain was on life's to-do list for a long time. Luckily, in January of 2014, I was given the opportunity to do just that in the beautiful city of Madrid. Working at a dynamic, growing agency like Simplicity, I felt part of something really special. As Creative Director, I was involved in a little bit of everything, which made every new day more interesting than the last.

Gaining a deep understanding and appreciation of building brand values, my time at GR includes producing brand books and developmental platforms for some colossal brands worldwide. I was also responsible for the conception of various FMCG brands for national release and co-authored a book, 'Once Upon The End' - 365 Very Short Stories.

Working alongside various clients and an in-house design studio, I was part of the very successful rebrand team (Norwich Union to Aviva) responsible for creating, amending, proofreading and approving literature of all types.

Gaining my first taste of copywriting in a hectic, award-winning agency I was constantly challenged to produce original and effective ideas for advertising. I was lucky enough to work with some huge brands, and some brilliant people, on campaigns for television, radio, the web and national publications.

Two truly rewarding years of working with people from all walks of life through varying developmental projects. Through collaborative creative writing programmes, performance theatre and many other art forms, most of my time was spent going into schools or being part of projects organised by Youth Arts Groups and the Education Authority. However, I also worked with prisoners, drug addicts, people with disabilities and mental health problems, ethnic minorities and troubled teenagers in a memorable array of diverse activities.
