From the moment that my Informatics high school teacher introduced me and my classmates to the world of programming I immediately found the programming concept fascinating. I still remember the first time I learned about the "hello world" program and how amazed I was when I learned about sorting algorithms and how you can improve them.Later, the passion for programming pushed me to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. This was a big deal for me as a new world would arose. Throughout university I learned C and C++. C is considered a quite hard core language but the level of control that is offered to the user is hard to compare to almost any other language out there.There, in the Department of Informatics, I was given the chance to study more programming languages, databases, higher mathematics and algorithms as well as new programming concepts such as parallel programming. It was then that I realized that sky and resources were the only limits in learning new things. Hopefully resources were offered by the university.During my studies at the University of Athens, I joined Nokia Greece as a trainee software developer. After being a part of Nokia for almost a year, I was given the chance to join Upstream of which I'm still a part of.
