Co-founded a startup that sold connected tags - customer labels printed with the Arylla invisible ink that can be scanned with a smartphone.Roles included software development and team management. For the latter, I maintained daily communication with business and science leads, ensuring priorities were aligned and deadlines would be met. I also directed a software team of developers and students.On the technical side, I was responsible for key software development projects, including: -The core image processing pipeline to read connected tags (C++, OpenCV) -Co-developed an API that passed the input image to C++ analysis, returned the result, and logged call details (Rails) -Deployed web and native apps that interfaced with the Arylla API to scan connected tags (React) -Print file generation and quality control software to print and analyze tags on our pilot inkjet printer (C++, OpenCV, VB.net) -Color analysis and image recognition models using logistic regression and Neural Nets (Python, YOLO)

I worked with professors and graduate students on the development of a continuous method to synthesize graphene and on the use of titanium dioxide in photocatalytic fuel cells. This work included designing experiments to test the quality of the sample or device in question, as well as proposing improvements based on literature reviews. It also included regular presentations on research progress.

I tested and developed detection hardware and software for Smiths' latest technology in trace substance detection. This included collaboration with other researchers and students to optimize the equipment, along with reporting on the progress and results and training colleagues on development techniques.

I worked with an international research team on the development of novel organic light emitting diode and organic solar cell technologies. I was required to develop my own experiments and research plans and independently operated a chemical vapor deposition machine to fabricate the devices. I also tutored my co-workers in English grammar and pronunciation.

I authored and revised online questions to test students in calculus and statistics. This required strict attention to detail and convention to maintain the professional presentation of the content. Beyond this authorship, I also contributed to company literature on the use of the authorship software, WileyPLUS.

I worked with a PhD student on the development of novel uses of carbon ash from power plants in Saudi Arabia. This included experimentation and characterization of ash samples, and literature review on the current uses of fly ash and carbon ash.
