This year I took part in a full time software engineering boot camp with the incredible Le Wagon. We learned full stack web development, with key focus on Object oriented programming, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, SQL, DB management, HTML, CSS, product development, and various API integrations including OpenAI. We built two apps in our final weeks: one was an Airbnb clone for medieval castles in Europe, and the other was an awesome health portal for patients in Rio de Janiero. One of my classmates is a medical doctor and took the course so she could build the app to help under served communities. We built just a prototype, but its a great start. My teachers and classmates were also simply wonderful. It was an amazing experience, and I feel so grateful to have had this opportunity and to learn as much as I did.
