Hydraulic Modeling Sr Engineer
Current- Assisted operation group and project execution group to schedule 2017 and 2018 annual outage plans. Assisted gas control group modeling pig runs, unplanned outages, blending, and other random requests. - Worked on Enbridge’s transmission expansion project. Re-designed the entire transmission system by adding loops and horsepower. Optimized the cost between loops and horsepower to maximize system capacity.- Performed daily outage capacities for the entire transmission system, for 2016 and 2017, including over 100 project’s outages each year. Provided annual outage capacity graph and 3-month rolling prediction for commercial group and gas control group.- Performed pressure drop calculation for Spectra Energy’s BC pipeline compressor stations (19 stations). Compared the results calculated from both the methods from Crane’s handbook and GPSA handbook. Reviewed all mechanical drawings for the compressor stations. Prepared calculation spreadsheets and linked to Spectra’s existing model. Checked results against real SCADA data.- Performed XFlow tuning for Spectra Transportation South system with real 2016 SCADA data. Adjusted pipe efficiency by pipe segments. Also calculated new load patterns based on monthly 3-peak days data, and updated XFlow models.- Prepared Spectra Transportation South 2016 pipeline capacity and outage analysis report by using Spectra’s XFlow model. Updated the model with small size crossovers pressure loss. Performed charts that show the system’s sustainable flow rate with each pipe segment outage for summer time.- Prepared Spectra Transportation South 2016 station capacity and outage analysis report by using Spectra’s XFlow model. Performed charts that show the system’s sustainable flow rate with each station and compressor unit outage for both summer and winter time.- Worked with integrity group to model pressure reduction scenarios. Helped with isolation plan and scheduling dig outages.
