Journalist, writer and director.Columnist and TV critic for “La Repubblica”, a major Italian daily newspaper, until 1999. In 1996 he co-founded repubblica.it, the first online Italian newspaper.He now writes and produces documentaries and popular variety programs for RAI and Mediaset television broadcasting companies.Among other things, in 2005 he was the author of “Whatever will be will be” (“Che sarà sarà”, RaiTre, 26 episodes). The program was a serial documentary based on TV archives of children’s interviews, which he searched through identifying them in today’s adults.In 2008 he directed “The First Day of God”, broadcast on Easter access primetime by RaiTre. It is a documentary describing three confessional schools in Rome – Jewish, Catholic and Muslim – which, in parallel action, is an account of children’s first school lessons, where they are learning their own faith. Following the same experience he wrote “Il Signore è grande e non si può disegnare”, by Einaudi publishing house.In 2010 he wrote the TV adaption of 4 dramas by Eduardo De Filippo (RaiUno, primetime).In 2011 “A singer enters a convent”, was a docudrama written and directed by Peirce and broadcast by RaiUno, sunday daytime. The singer Lola Ponce was the guest of the Santa Paola Missionary Sisters’ Convent in Velletri: a film about the special meeting between women with different life experiences, in the background of music. After production and direction of two partecipated docs: “Otherness” and “Dana’s steps”, in 2013 wrote and produced a docudrama: “I ragazzi di Pippo Fava” (RaiTre, primetime) something like a sicilian “Dead Poets society” about the life of the journalist killed by mafia in 1984.In january 2014, ideated with Massimo Ranieri "Sogno e Son Desto", RaiUno saturday prime time, Oscar Tv awarded.
