I worked at Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Marine Bioresource & Eco-environmental Science, Shenzhen Engineering Laboratory for Marine Algal Biotechnology for nearly two years, during which I developed a full set of skills in molecular cloning. I managed to identify a novel Channel Rhodopsin gene HpChR1 in a green algae and revealed some of its potential functions by using bioinformatic tools.
