I am a professor at Department of Civil Engineering in Hebei University of Technology. I have education and research background across mining, geotechnical and petroleum engineering in three different countries. My research focuses on pore-scale physics of multiphase flow in porous media using 3-D X-ray microtomography with applications in deep earth energy recovery and carbon dioxide storage. My research enables efficient design and optimization of technologies used to extract energy and resources (e.g. natural gas, oil and water) from deep earth and to fight climate change by storage of carbon dioxide in underground geological formations.
