Reading Climate Change Partnership is a voluntary group with representatives from business, academia, community groups and statutory authorities. RCCP has developed two previous climate change strategies for Reading and is now gearing up to start public engagement for the third strategy, which will cover the period 2025 - 2030. My role will involve stakeholder engagement, co-ordination, communications, partnerships and orchestration.

I have limited time for freelance work but would love to hear about projects that fit around my work with the Reading Climate Change Partnership. The focus of my work was to help deliver EIT Climate-KIC’s ambitious systems transformation goals by:- creating and implementing an editorial and newsroom strategy for EIT Climate-KIC, including new formats such as 'data stories' and visual case studies- hands-on content creation including messaging, copy and stories about systems innovation and investing for funders and delivery partners- co-managing a team of 15 communications professionals across Europe, as well as freelance suppliers- building partnerships with media companies and climate communications agencies, including a campaign to build climate literacy into NDCs- corporate communications including press releases, brochures, reporting, speeches and bid-writing- catalysing or unearthing concrete examples of how to bring together the arts, education, deep citizen engagement, technology, systems-literate finance, policy innovations, and other big change levers to create new grooves for a resilient, inclusive, circular, 1.5 degree world.

Low Carbon Hub is a groundbreaking social enterprise working to scale up community-owned renewable energy in Oxfordshire. I had a 14-month contract to deliver a Community Energy Manifesto and a £2.5 million share offer campaign.

Dō Sustainability published a collection of short, digital guides to doing sustainable business. The content was updated monthly and sold to corporates and individuals via a subscription model. Many corporates used the collection for staff training programmes.Topics included: * Integrated Reporting* Social Licence to Operate* Social PR* Valuing Natural Capital* How Gamification Can Help Your Business Engage in Sustainability. * Building a Sustainability BrandWe created DōShorts to provide the practical support that 1st and 2nd generation sustainability professionals needed to define and deliver ambitious sustainability goals for their companies, and to help them shift core business goals and strategy. Dō Sustainability was shortlisted for Best Newcomer by the Independent Publishers Guild in 2014. The collection was acquired by Greenleaf Publishing in December 2015.

Earthscan was the world's leading publisher of books about sustainability, climate change and environmental technologies. As Marketing & Publicity Manager I oversaw marketing and communications for Earthscan's economics, climate change, business, energy, risk and sustainable development publishing, and established the company's publicity department. I also developed Earthscan’s Curricula for the 21st Century microsite; hosted a successful series of live webinars; and set up a vibrant partnerships programme.Earthscan won an Independent Publisher’s Guild Award in 2010 and was acquired in 2011.

Wrote and edited phonics books (L1 and L2) and EFL books for children (aged 3 - 7), parents and teachers.
