In addition to lecturing on leadership, strategy implementation and personal effectiveness, I am also an executive coach and participate in a number of private and public initiatives. I have served as a board member of several organizations, professional societies and committees. I completed a Master´s degree in Health Care Administration (MHA) and a Bachelor´s degree in Public Health Policy and Administration (BSPH) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have an ACC degree in executive coaching from CCUI, am a PCC candidate and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from RU/ IESE in 2008.I held various management positions at the Reykjavik University between 2004 and 2012 – as director of executive and continuous education, director of development, executive director of the RU Open University, a unit dedicated to unleashing the value in lifelong learning through executive, continuous and preliminary education. Prior to joining the Reykjavik University, I was a partner at Deloitte management consulting in Iceland (1998 to 2004) and director of quality management at the National University Hospitals (1991 – 1998). I am one of the founders and former board director of Ljósið – rehabilitation center, the Líf charity and the Icelandic Association for Quality and the former president of Rotary Görðum.
