Heading the Software Engineering group of the company, leading the team efforts in developing complex, multi-function industrial test-automation software platforms.- Designed and developed DynoLAB GenV, the next generation of the flagship software product of the company: a modern, extensible, high-performance, robust modular distributed-processing, data-acquisition and real-time-control test-automation system.- Designed and implemented multiple improvements and extensions into the existing market-leading Test Development and Executive product suite, DynoLAB v.4, including a new low-latency distributed I/O technology and an RDBMS-based data-logging subsystem, thus significantly increasing the performance and scalability of the control and data acquisition system.- Championed a restructuring of the existing standards and practices leading to a superior organization of the software department and improvement in work efficiency.- Managed all functions of the department, including one other full-time software engineer and a contractor.- Actively participated in the company management, advising the president and contributing to various new initiatives.

Systems and application engineering for various projects:- "High Data Rate misfire competitive analysis" study.Developed a comparative study analysis plan and the accompanying custom test platform based on National Instruments high-speed analog and digital I/O, and a Multiplex Engineering vehicle bus interface. Wrote a LabVIEW software program used to interact with a vehicle engine and misfire generators, and to collect the data produced during the tests.- Remote management system for concept vehicles.Wrote a graphical Human-Machine Interface (HMI) program and developed a hardware interface for real time interaction with a Chrysler 300M–based concept vehicle via a TCP/UDP Windows sockets interface over a wireless connection. The program was used by a research group at the MIT Media Lab for their Driver Advocate project. Presented at the 2002 Convergence Show, Detroit Michigan, October 21 – 23.- Adaptive cruise control target filtering.Researched the processes involved in radar-based target acquisition and wrote software for real-time filtering of radar streams with directional and ranging information in order to feed an active cruise-control subsystem. Added a GUI for visual debugging and evaluation.- Vision-based driver-assist devices study.Researched options for machine-vision systems for horizontally extending the field of view of a vehicle driver.- Retrofit of emissions control systems.Worked on development of a software calibration tool for engine ECU.

* Software development, algorithm design, and systems engineering for MS Windows-based real-time embedded systems.* Research and development, scientific support and conceptual proofs for high-speed laser-imaging inspection systems.* Project and relationship management for product development and sales.* Team leadership for up to 5 other full-time and contract software engineers, including training and mentoring of junior staff.· Developed a machine module used to determine the velocity curve of a moving part in real time. Wrote all algorithms and code and worked with optical engineering on prototype and production implementation. Achieved a tenfold improvement in device performance over the previous design.· Developed a full methodology for reconstruction of a pseudo-2D image of a part from laser signals, including corrections in radial dimension for laser drift and in longitudinal dimension for velocity distortions. Wrote all software for the module.· Lead the software team efforts in the creation of a software module for 3D feature modeling of a mechanical part for the purpose of high-speed inspection.· Lead and supported engineering efforts in the creation of a new product that is a modern, cheaper version of a legacy system. Researched and proposed alternative solutions based on a holistic approach, worked with mechanical, optical and electronics engineers in the design, and wrote most of the software, including all signal acquisition, image processing, feature modeling and real-time control functions. Lead the efforts and wrote most of the front end and GUI code.
