Founded OSMS at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to allow makers and small manufacturers to locally produce medical supplies for their communities, in response to a medical supply chain failure resulting from COVID-19. Helped facilitate the production of over 48 million units of supplies in 86 countries with the help of over 73,000 volunteers around the globe. Raised $950k in grants and managed a staff of 20.

Co-founded Breeze Automation, a company dedicated to creating robust, low-cost fluidic robots that can operate in environments as extreme as miles underwater, outer space, and everything in between. Contributed technically and led an R&D team of 6. Developed inexpensive, human-safe, 4- and 7-DoF soft fabric and semi-rigid plastic manipulators powered by pressurized air and pressurized water for private clients and government agencies like ONR and NASA that featured custom proportional valves, electronics, and custom soft pneumatic actuators.

Co-Founder, CEO and CTO of MegaBots, a company dedicated to bringing the giant fighting robots of science fiction to life and creating a next-generation sports league. Led the development of a 6-ton/24HP and 15-ton/430HP internally piloted, hydraulic humanoid combat mech. Built and led a team of 20+ controls, electrical & mechanical engineers, fabricators, project managers, artists, and video producers. Raised $6.5M in venture capital, and helped generate $1.2M in revenue as an entertainment franchise. Created a viral marketing campaign that resulted in 28M views on our content and 40B impressions in earned media.

Founded and ran the first major makerspace in Boston, MA. Grew the space from a 1,000 square foot private studio to a 40,000 square foot, 250-member, $1M/yr non-profit corporation in 18 months. Created public-access workshops with over $300k worth of equipment that held 40-50 classes a month at peak. Helped create a public, open-source program called "How to Make a Makerspace" that resulted in the creation of over 100 makerspaces globally.

One of 10 contestants on the Discovery Channel's newest design/build competition show, The Big Brain Theory: Pure Genius. The show featured two teams of 5 competing to solve extremely hard engineering challenges in 3-4 days; challenges included shooting a 20-pound missile out of the sky, stopping a speeding car without damaging it or its occupants, and stopping a 160 pound package of explosives from going off in a head-on collision, among others.

Responsible for the mechanical design and systems integration of high-performance, autonomous legged robots (ranging in size from 5 pounds to 1,200 pounds) using advanced design techniques, materials selection and manufacturing techniques.
