Challenges: Turning design into production; managing procurement and monitoring Shanghai and Shenzhen offices, sourcing new suppliers, price negotiations and regular visit to suppliers and trade fairs.Results: Implemented Exact backoffice system, created a balanced supply chain with backup suppliers. Redesigned the Waka Waka solar lamp and took it into production.

Challenges: Lean product development: creating new products and launching production upon the first sales order. Balancing interests of designers, clients and production. Results: Co-developed the Friso Kramer LED streetlight fixture and introduced it at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Initiated a company website.

Challenges: Taking the MoonLight solar lamp concept into in to mass production. Developing a Solar Powered Television.Results: Set up supply chain in Mekong and China after risk analysis and supplier audits. Introduced knowledge about doing business in China. Created a visual identity and packaging for the MoonLight.

Challenges: Translating design concepts into manufactureable products, choosing the right production techniques and suppliers. Cross-culture cooperation and communication.Results: Completed several product development projects in close relation with factories and clients

Challenges: This internship at Ask4Me brought me in contact with China, its culture and its amazing possibilities.Results: My activities in product development were design engineering, sourcing, quality control and cost price calculation on a multitude of different projects.

At Tobotex I got the first opportunity to design and specify imported products from China for Dutch clients. I participated in the procurement process as well as the sales process by delivering specification drawings to suppliers and by composing visualisations for clients.
