Co-founder and CTO for sensor development at SmartPatch srls. The project had been funded under Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 1, and did win the 2014 StartCup Piedmond and the National Price for Innovation 2014 (category Industrial).

Project manager on two Bill Tripp design 148’ sloops, responsible for sail plan, deck plan, rigging, sails, deck equipment and electronic navigation equipment.

From October 2004 until September 2008 marketing consultant for Equinoxe Yachts, company operating in the commercialisation of chosen sailing yacht brands (Group Beneteau). Also responsible for implementing strong collaborations with shipyards specialized in custom building, so as Adria Sail (Fano, Italy) or Indiana Yachting (Scarlino, Italy). Project manager for the realization of 2 Reichel – Pugh / Nauta 59’ and for the composite structures of Nauta 99’.

Skipper of Pier Luigi Loro Piana’s maxi yacht My Song from September 1999 until September 2004. Besides the racing activities (see palmares), responsible for the overall management of yacht, so as set up, modifications, shipyard interventions and crew management.

At the command of the various yachts of the sponsor’s racing fleet collecting an important number of international victories. Third participation at the Whitbread Round The World Race, second as skipper. Also project manager responsible for the constructions set up and crew management in Italy, France and New Zealand with the shipyard Marten Marine.

Second participation at the Whitbread Round The World Race, fist as skipper: 360° degree responsibility not only for racing aspects but for also for the planning, constructional and organizational part. The racing boat is constructed by Tencara, the world’s most progressive and avant-garde shipyard in these period.

I did participate in the whole campaign, which began with the complete refitting of the yacht in September 1988. I took part in the preparatory regattas (Transatlantic Discovery Race, Giraglia, Rimini-Corfù-Rimini, Fastnet) and all the legs of the Whitbread Round The World Race. Once finished the race I brought back the yacht to Italy and did skipper it during the sponsors promotional campaign. I did begin my participation as one of the crew, but little by little I made my way though the role of the technical supervisor, team organizer and watch leader to become the skipper in the end.
