Het doel van deze stichting is het behartigen van de belangen van - en het verkrijgen van gerechtigheid voor - partijen die schade hebben geleden of dreigen te lijden als gevolg van gebeurtenissen die een negatieve invloed hebben op het milieu, de leefomstandigheden, de arbeidsomstandigheden of de mensenrechten.SEFR zal onder andere onderhandelingen voeren met en optreden in juridische procedures tegen bedrijven die aansprakelijk zijn voor de schade.

Essure Claims Foundation represents the interests of aggrieved women who have suffered damages due to implementation of an Essure implant. The Foundation looks after and represents the interests of women who suffer damage, are at risk of suffering damage and/or have suffered damage as a result of Bayer's actions and/or omissions with regard to the Essure implant. The Foundation seeks to achieve its goals by conducting research and providing information. In addition, the Foundation intends to initiate legal proceedings in the Netherlands on behalf of the aggrieved women and to seek a declaratory judgment establishing Bayer's wrongful conduct towards the aggrieved women. The Foundation aims to achieve a binding settlement with Bayer that will compensate the aggrieved women. The Foundation is also investigating other ways to ensure that the aggrieved women are compensated.

De Maatschappij is the oldest network in the Netherlands. De Maatschappij is an independent network of 4,500 individuals from business, government and knowledge institutions. Its mission is to stimulate a more entrepreneurial society at all levels and among everyone. The Zaanstreek Department has a long history. It was founded on May 11, 1900. The driving force behind it was J.A. Laan. This Wormerveerse industrialist tried to increase prosperity in the Zaan region by taking all kinds of initiatives. This was fully in line with the objective of the Nederlandsche Maatschappij: to promote economic life, nationally, regionally and locally. To this day, the department has pursued this objective unchanged.
