Direct operations supervisor for all translation, subtitling, and accessibility (SDH, AD, Sign Language) work. Duties include overseeing projects to completion with excellent and timely delivery, recruitment and training, and serving as direct point of contact with clients for support and reporting.

Providing the same information in the target language as in the original. Bringing out the same feelings. Producing the same effect. Conveying the same intent. This is the unique challenge faced by any translator, particularly those who, like myself, have had the privilege of assisting clients from fields such as advertising, AV, and corporate. After six years and over 150,000 words translated almost exclusively from Portuguese to English, what I can say is the work is no less daunting than when I started out—though more and more enthralling and captivating.

Learning a language means learning to communicate, and communication starts from the self. As I'd sit down to begin each of the hundreds of lessons I taught, I always opening with the same question. "How was your weekend?" or "How is your week coming along?" And from that starting point, a breadth of conversation topics emerges. I'm deeply grateful for the very human experience of teaching over so many years.

A edição da ópera "Yerma", de Heitor Villa-Lobos, é um dos projetos mais ambiciosos de que eu tive o privilégio de fazer parte. Qualquer coisa é possível com um plano e um prazo apertado.

Tive a honra de trabalhar por três anos com uma das instituições de ensino mais tradicionais de São Paulo. Ensinar um assunto é a melhor maneira de aprender um assunto. Aprender a ensinar é uma ótima maneira de aprender sobre si mesmo. As habilidades de um professor são aplicáveis em uma miríade de situações profissionais, e por isso sou eternamente grato à profissão.

Lidar com crianças e adolescentes pode ser a melhor e a pior experiência da sua vida ao mesmo tempo. Seja um ou o outro, é um aprendizado duro, mas extremamente benéfico. Crianças, especialmente, dão o feedback mais rápido e mais sincero que você ouvirá na sua vida. São impiedosas, mas justas.
