About Guilherme Fians
I am a social anthropologist interested in how people use digital technologies, media, and languages to connect with - and, occasionally, disconnect from - each other. Anthropology has given me the sensibility to work with people from different age ranges, nationalities, and social backgrounds, which has prepared me to communicate theories, ideas, and organisational plans to multiple publics. Ethnographic fieldwork has allowed me to gain insights into people's behaviour, interests, and priorities, enabling me to propose people-centred approaches to problems affecting a company or social group. Since I work primarily with themes related to linguistic and cultural diversity and to digital socialities, I am particularly interested in encouraging intercultural communication and exchanges along diverse backgrounds on both offline interactions and online platforms.
