Software Engineer, team leader and business partner with close to 20 years of experience designing and building architecture used to support web applications for consumers and enterprise users. My team has always appreciated my capacity for seeing the connections between the business needs & software engineering solutions. I bring a deep curiosity for business issues and I have enjoyed being an active and valued participant in meetings with various stakeholders, from project brainstorming with my colleagues to executive level strategy sessions. One example was my critical role in the ShopStyle acquisition by Ebates, from early technical presentations and in-person exec meetings to supporting a smooth transition planning and execution. I’m a whole-hearted problem-solver, (that means I am passionate about solving problems) and I am really effective when it comes to figuring out software development solutions. I am consistently recognized for my can-do attitude and internal drive for achieving results. I like to think through different approaches, select the one with the most probable success, and deliver it. I make things happen, always supported with a thoughtful and thorough decision-making process. According to one manager, I “make collaboration between teams a breeze” and colleagues have acknowledged me for being a “great engineering partner.”I especially enjoy building and mentoring teams, setting up engineers with challenging or growth opportunities that help them meet their goals. I am most proud of my strength as a team leader which was demonstrated during my tenure at ShopStyle. Over a period of five years, I grew my team from 5 to ~50 engineers, maintaining a consistently high retention rate. I led my team through several significant technology transitions including changing the backend from monolithic to microservice architecture, and going from a servlet-based application to a client web-app using AngularJS and later Angular 2+.
