I worked for 7 years in the Venture Capital arm of French Private Equity powerhouse Idinvest (now part of Eurazeo), which has been backing several European Tech “success stories” such as Contentsquare, Criteo (Nasdaq IPO), Dailymotion (sold to Orange), Deezer, Doctolib, Glovo, Kantox (sold to BNP-Paribas), ManoMano, Meetic (sold to Match.com), Onfido, Payfit, Social Point (sold to Take Two Interactive), Talend (Nasdaq IPO), Vestiaire Collective, Wefox, Withings (sold to Nokia), Zenly (sold to Snapchat), etc.I led some of the firm’s most successful early-stage investments including Peakon (a “fund returner” sold to Workday for $700m), Planday (sold to Xero for $200m), Secret Escapes (£100m+ in net revenues), LumApps ($100m+ raised, named to the FrenchTech Next40 in 2021), Corti, Ontruck, Clustree (exited to Cornerstone OnDemand), etc. and I served on the board of all these companies for several years.I built Idinvest’s presence in Denmark where I established the firm as the leading international VC with 3 landmark deals (Corti, Peakon and Planday).I co-invested with some of the best European VC firms (such as Alven, Atomico, Balderton, ByFounders, Cathay, Creandum, DN, EQT, Heartcore, Index, LocalGlobe, Google Ventures, Octopus, Point Nine, Samaipata, etc.).I also hired Jonathan Userovici (now a Partner at Headline) and Sophie Bruchou (now running Roland Berger Technology Ventures) to strengthen our investment team.

In January 2020, Cornerstone OnDemand, a Nasdaq-listed SaaS leader in the Corporate Learning space acquired Clustree, the startup of which I was Chief Operating Officer, for approximately $20m.Pre-closing, I actively participated in the integration planning phase before leading post-merger integration for 3 work streams: People, Finance and Operations.For 4 months, I worked hand in hand with CSOD’s Executive Team (CEO, CTO, VP EMEA, etc.) and the firm’s Corporate Development, Financial Controlling and HR departments to ensure a smooth integration of our 35 people Paris-based AI startup into a company totaling over 2,000 employees spread over 30 offices and also to enable CSOD to infuse our technology across their full product offering.

Founded in 2014 by Bénédicte de Raphélis Soissan, Clustree was a French VC-backed startup (backed by Alven, Creandum, Idinvest and The Family) developing an AI-powered skills platform for employee development.Clustree had built one of the world’s most sophisticated skills’ engine, using machine learning and bias-free algorithms to help organizations match their employees’ skills with specific job roles. Clustree developed its skills ontology based on the consolidation of over 1 billion job skills across multiple languages into a library of 53,000 verified skills that accurately describe any employee profile from any industry.Organizations such as Carrefour, Orange, Sanofi, SNCF and Veolia were relying on Clustree to analyze their employee skill data and inform critical decisions regarding whom to hire, how to develop their employees, how to structure long-term workforce planning, and ultimately, how to close the pervasive skills gap that companies are experiencing worldwide.As Clustree’s Chief Operating Officer, I focused on all internal matters with Tech, Data, HR, and Finance specifically reporting to me.One of the key achievements of my 18-month tenure is the assembling of one of the best team of data scientists in France.As an ex investment banker, I also played a key role in the successful exit of the company to Cornerstone OnDemand (Nasdaq: CSOD), a global leader in Corporate Learning for some $20m in January 2020.

Bryan, Garnier & Co is an independent investment bank focused on growth companies in the TMT and Healthcare industries. It was founded in 1996 by ex-Goldman Sachs bankers and has offices in New York City, London and Paris, where it regularly leads the league table for midmarket transactions.I focused mainly on e-commerce and SaaS and managed over 30 successful transactions, including more than ten IPOs and private financings, raising hundreds of millions of capital. Some of my former clients include companies such as Jobpartners (acquired by Taleo), Motoblouz (merged with Access Moto), Telemarket (acquired by Système U), Viveo (sold to Temenos), Cegid (NYSE: CGD) and Sword Group for all of which I led multiple fundraisings, divestments and acquisitions.

I started my career as an Analyst at Clinvest (the M&A arm of Credit Lyonnais and n°1 French investment bank in the early 2000s) before the merger with Credit Agricole-Indosuez which led to the creation of Calyon and later became Credit Agricole CIB.I notably worked on Debitel’s takeover of Videlec, Guilbert’s sale to Office Depot and the merger between Crédit Lyonnais and Crédit Agricole.
