"The Public Service Lab is a social science research and teaching lab comprising a team of students working with Professors Christensen, Wightman and Ruddle. The Public Service Lab’s primary purpose is to address important public service (government and nonprofit) questions through the development of mentored, graduate-student research, and teaching. Our work is supported by Brigham Young University the George W. Romney Institute of Public Service and Ethics and the National Science Foundation."Conducted in-depth social science research and collaborated with a team of students and professors to analyze how ethics impact public policy. Developed comprehensive reports and presented findings to stakeholders, contributing to the lab's mission of advancing public service education.

“The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is the premier organization founded by Members of Congress to advance the Hispanic Community’s Economic Progress with a focus on Social Responsibility and Global Competitiveness.”As a CHLI Fellow, I worked closely with Rep. Lou Correa from the Santa Ana, California, 46th District. This position lasted from September to the end of October, after which I began to work at the Wilson Center for the remainder of my fellowship, poised to end in December.

I worked with Congressman Correa from the Santa Ana, Califonia, 46th District, and some of my tasks entailed:- Researching legislative issues and policies.- Helping with responding to constituent inquiries- Attending committee hearings and briefings.- Handling administrative tasks and office organization.- Drafting communications such as press releases and newsletters.- Representing the office at community events and meetings.- Drafting and analyzing proposed legislation and its impacts.- Leading tours of the Capitol for visitors.- Managing constituent contact databases.- Contributing to special projects and campaigns.- Gaining insights into government processes and networking.

I became the first Assistant Project Manager at the Online Learning Course Department that oversees both BYU-Idaho Online courses, and services BYU-Pathway instructors. During my tenure, I was able to create and implement two different systems to coordinate the creation, production, and completion of hundreds of projects and products for our online curriculums.I was also a key player in the creation and implementation of on-boarding and continuing trainings for hundreds of employees across the world.

I became the very first Hiring Manager at the BYU-Idaho Support Center.With my previous experience as a recruiter, I built from scratch a system meant to efficiently screen and hire at least 40 new individuals every semester. I also coordinated the creation of an in-home ATS and proceeded to develop additional tools based on data I collected to increase our retention rate by 30% within the first quarter. Such changes not only led to a higher retention rate, but also to an increased production and efficiency amongst the new hires my team and I had recruited using our new approach and system.
