Gaming and technology saved my life.Through dark and difficult times in my teens, games and technology were a refuge, a safe space where I could loose myself into fascinating worlds or interesting problems to solve.I then accidentally stumbled into a career in technology, my refuge had become one of my biggest strengths, all of a sudden I realised that I had skills that were useful. I’ve moved from “traditional” IT of working on Helpdesk’s to Ops and being a Sys Admin. Over to DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, Automation, CI/CD and cloud computing. I'm thrilled that I can help teams move faster by embracing the technologies we have in these fields.Through my life, the ups and downs have given me fantastic lessons and experiences that help me, help others improve themselves. I absolutely love being there for others, nurture them and the environment they are working in and seeing them grow and reach their accomplishments. I’m a big believer that you should be able to be yourself in the workplace, that we should encourage our teams to be open and personal, so they can create bonds of trust that will enable them to move faster together.
