One of my earliest memories in school is going to a parent-teacher conference at school and my teacher telling my parents, "Desiree is definitely one of my most punctual, disciplined students. I've never seen her come to class unprepared once!" I developed this skill even more over time. I've always loved discipline and punctuality as long as it doesn't kill creativity. I saw that every step I took, knowing my responsibilities, brought me a success, a new skill. I'm a lifelong learner and love adding new skills to my talent stack. Already I understand how it feels to be financially/food insecure or without opportunity and go above and beyond when an opportunity arises. I take great pride in persistence, diligence, and empathy. This is why I love finance and its functions as societal tools that allow individuals/corporations to overcome financial hurdles and accelerate growth. Accounting uses financial information from the past to make decisions in the present to change the future. I always find myself on this field keen to learn more and move forward with hard working.
