Indore Bhiya was set up in 2018 with an aim to bring Indori delicacies to the city of Hyderabad. With first outlet in Madhapur, Indori Bhiya grew fast and opened its second outlet in Kondapur in Aug 2019. Indori Bhiya successfully maintained customer ratings of 4+ for three years across Zomato, Swiggy, and UberEats. Succumbing to Covid impact, one outlet was shutdown in Dec 2020 and second outlet was transferred to new management in March 2022.

- Providing key inputs, through specific projects, for executive decision making; the end users include R&FA CXOs- Interacting directly with executive leadership (Partners, Principals, and Directors) for Deloitte’s R&FA business in India (approx. 4000 professionals) to address their research needs around competitors, clients, talent, and business opportunities- Leading the competitive intelligence program for Deloitte R&FA’s India operations; and executed Global Collaboration PMO reporting into the executive committee (Global and India CEO) on growing business between offshore operations and global member firms including India- Collaborating with diverse set of senior professionals and stakeholders across market offerings and solutions

Gunjan led the Competitive Intelligence team in KPMG Global Services. As part of the global CI group, he was responsible for increasing adoption of competitive intellgence within the network of firms and building relationships and eminence for the CI group. His role involved scoping, managing expectations, project management, and liaisoning with business leaders to better understand their competitive and market intelligence needs. He has led projects - delivering insights to enable decision making at leadership meetings- to benchmark KPMG against its competition, by comparing and contrasting their capabilities, best practices, investments, etc- to conduct ethical debriefs with senior hires from competitors - by collaborating and coordinating with member firms spread across the globe

Gunjan coached and built a team of CI specialists and held resposibilities for project scoping, resourcing, and stakeholder management, apart from performance management and training. Gunjan led a team of analysts to deliver competitive intelligence for global delivery model, talent landscape in India, pursuit support, solution development, services mapping, and strategy development.The competitive landscape covered leading consulting competitors including IBM, Accenture, PwC, E&Y, McKinsey, BCG, Hewitt, Mercer, Infosys, TCS, Wipro - to name a few.

As part of the Competitive Intelligence & Strategy Development team, Gunjan executed diverse competitive intelligence projects feeding into functional strategy development for Deloitte U.S. firm's Consulting business. He has tracked the competitive landscape for professional services and has been privy to analysis of key competitor events like PwC's rebuilding consulting through series of acquisitions, BearingPoint's fallout, HP-EDS merger, Capgemini-Kanbay merger, HCL-Axon deal to name a few. Gunjan has been involved in designing competitive intelligence deliverables to meet varied stakeholder needs - from newsletters to topical research and deep dives.

Gunjan was engaged with Capgemini at a time, when the firm was coming out of not-so-successul merger with E&Y's consulting business in the US. At the same time, Capgemini was emerging as the only European IT firm aggressively pursuing a global delivery model centered around India.Gunjan was responsible for benchmarking Capgemini's growth in offshore delivery against competitors like IBM, Accenture, and the SWITCH (Satyam, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, HCL) within specific industry verticals and service lines.During the short stint, he was involved in some key projects including tracking of M&A targets with strong offshore business. He tracked 50 such targets including global as well as Indian competitors. Later, Capgemini acquired Kanbay. He also worked on a market sizing project involving evaluation of Capgemini's position and market share in various regions across verticals and service lines, to enable annual planning of revenue targets for the Country heads.

The work involved developing analytical commentaries on quarterly performance of publicly listed U.S. companies across different industries. The exposure helped in developing a basic understanding of U.S. businesses as varied as Waste management, restaurants, and also the traditional sectors across services and manufacturing.

The role involved exploring possible channels to sell the flagship enterprise products “Team360” and “ACE” and pricing mechanisms, evaluating new product ideas thereby assisting CEO in devising and implementing growth strategies & expansion plans for setting up future directions, and coordinating with the product development team.Credits- Identified opportunities in unconventional area for the existing products. Later, Ascendus implemented a performance management solution for an insurance firm.- Participated in talks with Angel Investor for fund raising

Cygnus, the then start-up firm, provides knowledge services based on research on various industries. Cygnus proved to be the right start to make a career in the field of research based advisory services. The trainings on various industry modules spread across manufacturing and services provided a rich experience of conceptualising and conducting research projects.
