My expertise and interests lie in multi-variable analysis, particularly for environmental purposes. My background is heavily influenced by accelerator and nuclear physics through my 5+ years working in both fields as a research assistant at both undergraduate and graduate levels. This gave me hands on experience diagnosing problems, operating, and designing experiments with accelerators. Along with accelerator work, my projects have revolved heavily around elemental and isotopic identification in environmental samples such as house dusts using accelerators as a much faster and non-destructive method compared to most other elemental identification techniques. This is where I am currently using Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF), a statistical technique to group elements into factors to identify possible sources of contaminants in environmental samples.I am a member of the physics honors society Sigma Pi Sigma as well as the honors society Phi Beta Kappa.
