Gunner is a state and local tax professional with extensive experience in pass-through entity taxation. He regularly assists customers in various industries with addressing state tax issues associated with income/franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, and sales taxes. Gunner is experienced in performing comprehensive nexus reviews, managing state voluntary disclosure agreement projects, and identifying state credit/incentive opportunities. Further, he frequently identifies and implements apportionment planning opportunities in conjunction with evaluating and documenting companies’ P.L. 86-272 protection. Prior to joining the State and Local Tax Practice, Gunner lead tax compliance engagements under the federal tax compliance practice. He continues to support that practice by providing technical state and local tax trainings, continuous updates on new legislation, and alerting clients of newfound opportunities or issues that may affect their business.
