Experienced nonprofit executive with 20+ year background in training and curriculum development, program design, legislative campaign execution, grant writing, fundraising, communications, and implementing public education strategies. He received a BA in Liberal Arts from Goddard College, where he completed the oral history project entitled “Boston Area Transgender Community Leaders and the ENDA Crisis.” He has written articles on issues of transgender equality, health care access, racial equity, and LGBTQ partner abuse for publications such as the Advocate magazine, the Huffington Post, Clockworks Magazine, GSBA's quarterly magazine the Perspective, the Boston Phoenix, Bay Windows newspaper, the 2011 Our Bodies, Ourselves book; What’s Up Magazine, and Boston’s Sojourner Women’s Forum. He penned “Agitate and Activate,” the introduction to Pinned Down by Pronouns, a 2003 Lambda Literary-nominated anthology and he is a co-author on the study and 2011 American Journal of Public Health article “Transgender Health in Massachusetts: Results from a Household Probability Sample of Adults.” He is also the founder/principal of Making Waves Coaching & Consulting which supports artists, activists, creative professionals and entrepreneurs in developing their practice.
