I have been working on the field of symmetric-key cryptography dedicatedly since 2007. I have done some implementation, analysis, and design work of hash functions, block ciphers, message authentication codes, and also lightweight cryptography. I publish research papers, teach and supervise undergraduate/PhD students, provide consultancy, and serve the research and technical committees in the field of cryptography for both Singapore and international community. Besides research, I am also interested in cryptography-based applications and commercialization. Recently, I expanded research interests to the application of cryptography to privacy preserving technologies.
