◦ Worked on a streaming infrastructure framework that enables realtime inter micro service communication via a publisher/subscriber model as well as persists datasets in Snowflake for offline analytics.◦ Led key projects such as: transactional outboxes which enables low latency and 100% durable publishing, a frontend client which allows for mobile and web team to publish events via HTTP, and migration of our entire streaming platform from Kinesis to Kafka.◦ Hands on experience with setting up managed Kafka providers such as MSK and Confluent as well as deploying Kafka Connect onto Kubernetes.◦ The streaming framework supports 500 Million events a day, 70 offline datasets, and is used heavily throughout Affirm’s most critical flows.
