It is only in June 2021 that I decided to change course and become a full-fledged researcher, which had been my true calling for so many years. I decided to join Kaizzen, a public relations and digital media agency as Director, Kaizen Insights, the new research vertical of the organisation. The plan is to convert Kaizzen into a knowledge-based, data-led, solution provider to its various clients. I will be working closely with Vineet Handa, Founder and CEO, Kaizzen, to make the plan a reality.

I was fortunate enough to be a part of the launch team of the Indian edition of the US Fortune magazine in 2010, under the editorship of D N Mukerjea, and remained a part of the team till 2020, from where I retired. As the senior most member of the team, I not only covered all major national economic developments—Budgets, RBI’s announcements including regular Monetary Policy developments, trade and WTO discussions—but also chronicled the rise and fall of many of the important players of corporate India, the gyrations of the stock markets and the rise of the new technology companies and start-ups. Wrote more than 30 cover stories across sectors and industries Held Budget discussions with top economists and partners of Big Four Interviewed Nobel Prize winners like Amartya Sen, Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee and also top corporate honchos. Was responsible for leading the Delhi bureau, suggesting, guiding and curating story ideas and ensuring their timely implementation.
