As a Vessel Manger I am responsible for the safe and efficient management of ships under my fleet.Following are main responsibilities-- Oversee day-to-day vessel operations including maintenance, vessel performance and crew performance.-Manage vessels certification and compliance with international regulations.- Manages vessels in allocated budget, approve RFQ's and PO's. Coordinate with vendors for correct supply.- Assist with investigating accidents/incidents and eliminate identified deficiencies.- Ensure compliance with Quality and Safety Management System on-shore and on-board the vessel.- Act as a liaison with Captain/Chief engineer and shore personnel to provide adequate resource and shore-based support when required in case of Major or specialized repairs- Ensure compliance with all port regulations-Provide technical support to Business Development department.- Ensure safety and pollution prevention measures are maintained.-Visits ships regularly to check the actual condition of vessel hull and machinery.-Manage Dry docking of vessels.- Prepare technical reports.
