As a Produce Department Manager at Walmart Canada, I lead a team of associates to ensure the quality, freshness, and availability of produce products for our customers. I also manage the inventory, ordering, merchandising, and shrinkage of the produce department, while adhering to food safety and compliance standards. I have been in this role since April 2023, after working as a Produce Associate for three years, where I gained valuable experience in food handling, teamwork, and customer service.I graduated from Concordia University of Edmonton in January 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Information Technology. I chose this field of study because I am passionate about environmental issues and solutions, and I wanted to learn how to use technology to address them. I developed skills in data analysis, research, communication, and problem-solving, which I apply to my current role as a Produce Manager. I am motivated to continue learning and growing in the retail industry, and to contribute to Walmart's sustainability and social responsibility goals.
