I am passionate about conducting basic and applied research in the fields of cell and molecular biology, insect genetics and physiology by using omics and wet lab techniques. I have over seven years of experience in designing and executing experiments (wet lab and field), analyzing data (bioinformatics and statistical), and communicating results through publications and scientific presentations.I have acquired applied advanced skills in RNAseq, Single-cell RNAseq, proteomics, cell biology, molecular biology, and life sciences during my PhD and Postdoc training. I have expertise in using various data analysis tools such as R, Python and Bash. My wet lab skills include RNA, DNA and protein extraction; plasmid cloning; PCR, qPCR, Western blot techniques; insect tissue dissections; immunostaining and antibody purifications; microscopy skills with confocal and fluorescence microscopes. I have also contributed to teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, as well as collaborating with other researchers and bioinformatics experts. My goal is to leverage my expertise and knowledge to address important biological questions and challenges and to advance the scientific understanding and innovation in my field.
