My professional commitment is to contribute to the development of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies with a focus on sustainability. Over the years, I have gained exposure across the climate change and sustainability domains from government, bilateral, and multilateral agencies. In addition, I have delivered for the corporate sector, preparing ESG strategy roadmaps and disclosure reports for industries such as oil and gas, electricity, glass, automotive, and telecommunications.

I have worked on environmental, sustainability, and governance concerns linked to the Indian coast through interdisciplinary and ecosystem-based approaches, while seeking nature-based solutions to climate change, nutrient management, and environmental pollution.At NCSCM, I was a NABET-accredited Functional Area Expert in "Soil Conservation" and "Solid Waste Management" for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects. I've prepared solid waste management plans for a number of Indian mainland and island locations.As project lead, I have successfully completed the consultancy studies on due diligence of environmental compliance for the environmental clearance of ports and harbours. I have also served as a co-principal investigator for the NCSCM project “Beach Water Quality and SRA Survey for 3 Beaches under the Beach Environment and Aesthetic Management Services (BEAMS).”I was a member of the NCSCM team for the UKRI GCRF South Asian Nitrogen Hub (SANH), a consortium of 32 leading research organizations from South Asia and the UK tasked with addressing the challenges posed by excessive changes in nitrogen fluxes around the world, which benefit food production while posing environmental risks. I was the nodal officer for social media. As member secretary, I have coordinated exhibitions and pavilions at the India International Science Festival (2017, 2018); the World Environment Day Exhibition (2018); and the Conference of Parties (COP-14) to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD-2019). In addition, as delegated from time to time, I have been actively involved in several capacity-building exercises for the officials.

Recipient of ‘Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (DST-SERC) Young Scientist Grant’ to study Carbon Sequestration in Bhitarkanika Mangrove Forest, India, The Bhitarkanika mangrove habitat is surrounded by agriculture, which receives a significant quantity of fertiliser input in the form of runoff. The study's purpose was to figure out how much carbon was buried in mangrove soils and how it related to other nutrients.

I worked in a Central Pollution Control Board funded study "Quantification of thresholds for safe utilization of distillery effluent in agriculture in different agro-climatic regions in India". The aim was to derive a nature based solution for the post-methanation effluent from distilleries for enhancing soil health and productivity The PME treatments were used to assess nutrient accumulation in soil, plant growth, and crop yield during rice, wheat, maize, and mustard cultivation.
