As the Internals Coordinator for the Data Science Club at the University of Waterloo, I work closely with the VP Internal to manage the logistical aspects of running the club. My key responsibilities include: - Coordinating with external partners, including companies and university departments, to facilitate workshops, events, and sponsorships. - Handling merchandise logistics, including inventory management, supplier communication, and distribution to club members. - Managing room bookings and event spaces, ensuring all logistical needs are met for club activities.

• Spearheaded development of a prototype app that prevents financial scams against elderly people using Microsoft Azure AI tools to prevent more than 5 types of common scams. • Developed and delivered presentations to an Avanade mentor and more than 20 fellow students using Microsoft Office Suite and Google presentations to pitch our idea and receive an outstanding (highest) rating. • Prototyped 2 machine learning models, binary and multiclass classification, using Azure Machine Learning Studio to detect a scam and its type.

Selected as one of 85 students from across India for the Young Researchers for Social Impact (YRSI) program, a highly competitive initiative designed to engage high school students in impactful social research.Worked on a project titled "Use of Monitoring Software in Educational Institutions" in collaboration with the Internet Freedom Foundation, focusing on the implications of surveillance tools in educational settings.Conducted in-depth research and analysis over a 12-week period, culminating in actionable insights and recommendations.Enhanced skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and research methodologies while interacting with industry experts and thought leaders.
