- Worked on writing a subtractive manufacturing process for NSF Project: An integrated STEM Approach for studying Aerospace Engineering Design and Manufacturing - Created CAD designs and technical drawings for a micro-tool holder and a flow cell.- Worked on an independent project to measure force by biopsy forceps using force sensors and Arduino. - Part of a research team on distortion of monolithic components due to residual stress and machining. We studied the effects of residual stress on quenched Aluminum 7050 and created an experiment to calculate the effects of machining on the Aluminum blank when more than 70% of the material is removed. A CAD/CAM was created for apparatus used to hold the blank while machining. Apparatus was manufactured in Engineering Fabrication Lab at UC Davis. After the experiment, the blank was TalyScan-ed to measure the final deviation on its surface.
