I am an environmental microbiologist that has spent nearly 10 years doing research within petroleum microbiology, studying how our microbial friends can and do help in accidental fuel release remediation. I have been fortunate to work at the University of Calgary, McGill University, and the National Research Council Canada (EME) exploring varied facets of biotechnology. My work has connected me across Canada with eminent researchers at the IISD-ELA and University of Manitoba. I have extensive technical writing, communication, data analysis, scientific research planning and execution skills from these experiences. Through this work I have also developed skills in university lecturing, curriculum and examination creation, mentoring, and syllabus creation, teaching at the University of Calgary. Through this I am most excited to further my experiences within the petroleum industry and University.
