• managing all functions of the Academic Services office and ensuring the smooth running of the office and procedures within the College;

My job involved assisting and serving customers, ensuring the shop floor is tidy, receiving deliveries, and answering the telephone. Working with customers was the foundation of my job, and thus improved my people and communication skills.

Within the internship I was required to write content for the fashion blog. I was also given theopportunity to write product reviews, fashion and style news and multi-channel promotional material for both the website and the blog. In addition, I maintained the content of the social media networks on Facebook and Twitter.

This was my first chance to work within television. I worked closely with the entertainment team, and my role was primarily to research and write stories on celebrities, stories and events for upcoming shows. I also assisted on shoots, and organised props for shows. I was also able to see the show filmed live one morning, which gave me an insight into how.

I worked with this publishing house on one of their magazines and two of their websites. My duties involved researching, writing and uploading news and other articles onto both websites, using CMS. I also wrote a piece for business magazine EU Commerz.

I was working within the fashion department of a busy weekly magazine. I was based in the fashion cupboard, where I returned samples, dealt with press offices, as well as other general admin work. I was given the chance to assist on fashion and beauty shoots.

I worked on Retail Newsagent, a weekly business magazine for retailers. I was presented with the opportunity to research, write and sub stories, deal with press enquiries, research pictures, as well as do some vox pops and interviews.
