- As a key member of the dispensing team I am responsible for checking the accuracy of prescribed medication. This also involves giving attention to detail and being vigilant always.- Collecting patient data in order to improve services within the pharmacy- Issuing dispensed medication to patients and the counselling them on the correct and safe use of their medication.- Demonstrated care in handling customer complaints. I am comfortable dealing with demanding situations and understand the sensitivity involved.- Showing enthusiasm and striving to complete all talks to a high standard of quality- Using Proscript to process patient prescriptions as well as other general IT maintenance/support- Data input into the system - patient notes, medication history and other information- Reviewing clinical discharge letters and acting accordingly with regards to patient medication (and blister pack changes if any according to the letter)- Ensuring all policies and protocols are compliant, current and correct - Producing agendas and minutes for pharmacy business meetings- Ensuring health and safety regulations are met and are in accordance with regulations and laws- Monitoring patient satisfaction
