The during the work position, I have worked on calculation of the Contractor's monthly progress payments and new unit prices which were not defined in the Contract Bid and B.O.Q. The management of the contract included site supervision, issuing variation orders to the Contractor, evaluation of the claims of the Contractor, reviewing and approving the Contractor's shop drawings, material approvals, monitoring LEED implementation, etc.Project Description : Reconstruction Works of Goztepe Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. The project, financed by the European Development Bank, was contracted based on a FIDIC type contract. Total closed area of the 1,149 bed hospital is 249,700 m2 and the total medical area is 128,600 m2. The hospital, as part of the Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP), was designed to be fully operational after a severe earthquake, supported on triple pendulum seismic isolators and with all other necessary seismic supports and connections for the utilities.
