As a Child Development Project Officer I have several duties and responsibilities like-Recruitment, Planning, Implementation of Government schemes , Operations, Liaisoning , team building and overall administration etc Administering Early Child Development programs for children in 0-6 age group within the assigned territory. Distribution of Supplementary nutrition to 6 months to 6 years olds , pregnant and lactating women. To reduce malnutrition. Monitor the above population and referring them to the nearest Government medical facility in case of Severely Acute malnutrition. Administering 141 centres providing Early childhood education and learning. Instrumental in distributing old age pensions, dependent pensions & pensions for differently abled via DBT (Direct benefit/cash transfer) in their accounts.Also instrumental in DBT in case of pregnant mothers (1st child and 2 nd child- only in case of girl child) under the scheme of PMMVY ( Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana)Reporting and counselling in cases of Domestic Violence as and when referred to us by Honourable Court. Providing counselling to young adolescent women , pregnant and lactating .Liasoning with various government agencies , NGO’s etc to ensure proper delivery of services and community development.

  Implementing objectives of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme which include:Oversee 141 Anganwadi centers (catering to children 0-6 years )in area of jurisdiction.OverALL DEVELOPMENT Ensuring proper psychological, physical and social development of the child through various activities. Facilitate all-round development of children by regularly training field workers. Offer nutritional counseling to parents.De-Worming and Immunization: Conduct bi-annual de-worming programs for children and participate in Pulse Polio campaigns to ensure comprehensive immunization coverage.Food Distribution: Manage the entire process of demand, procurement, supply, and distribution of food items to 12,355 beneficiaries, including children (6 months to 5 years), and pregnant and lactating women.Staff Recruitment and Training: Handle recruitment, training, payroll, and annual assessment of grass-roots staff to ensure quality and efficiency in service delivery.Pregnant and Lactating Women: Educate pregnant women on the importance of the first 1000 days, balanced diets, and essential supplements. Guide lactating women on breastfeeding practices and complementary feeding.Anemia Awareness: Conduct campaigns and programs to raise awareness about anemia and promote local, low-cost nutritional recipes.
