Hello! I'm Gurtej Singh, born on October 15th, 1986, in Jalandhar, India. Growing up in a modest middle-class Khatri family, my roots trace back to Mardaan, Pakistan, before partition when my great-grandfather moved to Amritsar. My family has a rich history, with my grandfather playing a pivotal role in establishing Jag Bani, the world's highest-selling Punjabi newspaper. My father continues the entrepreneurial spirit by running a small-scale sports goods manufacturing unit in Jalandhar under the trademark SinghSons.My journey began with a keen interest in weather forecasting, leading me to work with Punjab Kesari as a weather report compiler during my teenage years. I pursued a BSc in Geography with aspirations of becoming a meteorologist. However, fate had other plans when I was unexpectedly selected as a radio presenter for Radio Mantra (now Radio City). My creativity quickly earned me a promotion to promo producer, and after three years, I transitioned to television, working as an anchor for channels like MH1 and PTC Network. I hosted popular shows such as Voice of Punjab, Miss PTC Punjabi, Laughter da Master, and Chakde Punjabi.In pursuit of new opportunities, I ventured into the immigration sector, moving to the UK with the guidance and support of my mentor, Gurpal Singh Oppal. Together, we founded UK NRI Solutions in May 2020, aiming to assist Non-Resident Indians with their disputes and issues. Since then, I've been dedicated to helping thousands of NRIs navigate their challenges, continuing my journey of making a positive impact.
