ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENT: Developed, taught, and published a comprehensive diagnostic instrument that assesses 10 areas of organizational capacity, for use in benchmarking, teambuilding, prioritizing organizational development needs, and subsequent evaluation of progress. It has been adapted/used in several multi-organizational capacity-building initiatives, in Colorado and nationally.2. STRATEGIC PLANNING: Custom designed and facilitated highly participative, assets-based, whole-system organizational planning processes for businesses, nonprofits and government agencies that draw upon input from all types of stakeholders to create shared vision around a clear purpose and aligned strategies supported by actionable business plans.3. ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN: Leveraged innovative approaches such as chaordic organizing, servant leadership, and appreciative inquiry to custom design organizational culture and governance models, including for international membership orgs.4. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Provided extensive leadership training, facilitated executive peer coaching, consulted in founder transitions, taught succession planning, and coached CEOs, often in conjunction with multi-year, multi-organization programs.5. FACILITATION: Customized retreats, issue forums, and team building for Boards, annual meetings and groups needing expert facilitation. 6. INTERCULTURAL and INCLUSIVENESS TRAINING: Rooted in extensive experience with diversity globally and locally, provided cross-cultural and inclusion training/consulting to corporations, universities, healthcare providers, governments and nonprofits.

One of three executives on the senior management team during a CEO transition, with direct responsibility for half of the organization’s programs, all of which “empower people & organizations to succeed across languages & cultures.” These included the intercultural training & consulting department, a program supporting over 500 foreign-trained healthcare professionals to become re-certified to work in the US and serve Colorado needs, and a health literacy and patient navigation program serving over 700 immigrants and refugees. During my tenure, these programs collectively quadrupled in numbers served.Prior to that (from 2000-2011), Spring Institute was one of my largest clients, during which I designed and led training, consultation, and facilitation services for a Spring Institute managed, $18 million, 11-year immigrant integration initiative funded by The Colorado Trust, working first with 23 organizations and then 19 communities across Colorado to innovate and build cross-sectoral institutional capacity to successfully integrate immigrants and refugees into the fabric of their community.

Consulted in the formation and early years of this international NGO dedicated to global grassroots interfaith cooperation, including: 1) facilitation of global/regional planning meetings that led to its innovative charter and chaordic organizational design; 2) Board and leadership development for its Global Council and staff at every level; and 3) leadership of large teams that designed and facilitated the annual Global Assemblies, representing 25,000 members from 47 countries by 2002.

(Co-)Taught courses and facilitated groups in Executive Education, MBA and Masters in Organizational Development (MOD) programs. Served as consultant, core staff, and on coordinating committee for Global Excellence in Management (GEM), a 7-year, $7 million capacity-building project in international development funded by USAID that encompassed organizational/partnership consulting/training in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

Management Consulting (1986-91); Audit & Private Business Advisory Services (1978-86).Co-founded the Pacific Northwest Consulting Department in 1986, with lead responsibility for strategic planning and organization development services. Served corporate clients ranging from start-ups to billion dollar companies in high technology, healthcare & hospitality. Developed and led signature program to teach leadership and business planning skills for IBM Business Partner CEOs across the country. One of three national instructors for "Strategic Planning for High Growth Companies." Lead author for "Dynamic Planning for High Technology Business" (KPMG, 1991).
