Founder and director of IT for Change an NGO, established with the vision of just and equitable Society with the mission to develop an understanding, and shape the discourse on how digital technologies can be used in participatory and emancipatory ways.Development sector professional with experience in government, corporate and academic sectors. Over 34 years of experience including 15 in the corporate sector and 5 in the government sector. Have been visiting faculty at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, a deemed university, teaching ICT and Education, and Education Leadership and Management courses in their MA in Education program (blended program), in Mumbai and Hyderabad campuses.Have worked in around 30 countries including 15 in the African continent, in my Avatar in the corporate sector (global IT product and services company i-flex solutions Ltd, now Oracle Financial Software Services), where I led multi-country, multi-product projects with multicultural teams. Worked in the Policy Planning Unit which was a part of the Department of School Education of the Government of Karnataka for 6 years. This unit was established under a World Bank program with the Government of Karnataka, as a collaboration with Azim Premji Foundation, the largest education NGO in India. Expertise in the areas of teacher professional development, education leadership and Management, and integration of digital technology in education systems and processes. Have led research, policy advocacy and field projects of the organization in these areas.Effective communicator, fluent in English and other Indian languages such as Kannada, Tamil and Hindi. Can understand Telugu, Marathi and Gujarati.
