Gurutej Kaur, at just a young age of 6, shared her destiny w/ her Mother & proclaimed that she would one day start her own spiritual order. For over 50 years, Gurutej has been living her destiny and continues to awaken the spirit of all she touches. Through yoga, chanting, meditation, healing, and proven stress- and health-management systems, she teaches people how to connect to their higher consciousness. Every day she lives the meaning of her Sikh name, which translates as “the one who brings you from darkness into light at the speed of light.In 1972, Gurutej co-founded 3HO Canada. She built and oversaw communities, yoga centers & businesses all over Canada for 17 years. Gurutej’s obvious head for business did not overshadow her commitment to Toronto’s children, which is why she introduced yoga to surrounding communities by teaching staff at Toronto General Hospital and students at The School House and The Alternative School. In Los Angeles, she taught yoga and meditation as a community service for 11 years; weekly, at Hamilton High School. She was a co-founder of Golden Bridge L. A. in 2000. She had led projects feeding the homeless in Los Angeles in the downtown area for years. Gurutej’s devotion to serving the essence of all has brought her to teach in India, all over Europe, South America, the US, and Canada, counseling hundreds of people as well as working directly with movie stars, heads of businesses, and wealthy clientele.She has released 5 instructional yoga videos, two of which were listed by some rating agencies as the TOP 10 Yoga Videos of all time. As a prolific writer, she is an author to 5 popular books including A Slice of the Beloved: Connection for Relationships, The Moon She Rocks You: Revealing the Secrets of Women's Inner Emotions, The 13th Month: How to Get an Extra 29 Days Each Year, Empower Your Essence, and the Art of Energy. Gurutej also developed an online academy called Empowered Energy Academy to support people on their Empowerment Journey. She is an artist doing visual arts from watercolors to Japanese Ink painting called sumie, to her real love of Mixed Media.Her online courses: The Moon She Rocks You, I Am Empowered, Unbreakable, Awaken with Gurutej, Abundant Energy Abundant Life, The Art of Energy, Energy Training for Highly Sensitive People, Unbreakable, & Empower Your Essence are all transformative and supportive.
