About Gus Van Der Spek

Following a 6 years career in the Investment Banking sector of London - working for corporates such as Morgan Stanley, IV Capital and Investec (now 91) - I made the decision to follow my heart into a property development career in 2008. When I returned to South Africa in 2011, I had developed 5 properties in London and went on to develop a further 12 properties in South Africa by 2020. Drawing on the knowledge and experienceI had gained in the property development field, I started AVIEW in 2015 with the aim of creating a brand which is synonymous with an exceptional standard in real estate development in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.My developments are targeted at the upper end of the market, where we specialise in building premium homes in blue chip suburbs. I feel privileged to work on these amazing projects and blending a legacy in into the fabric of these historic suburbs. From renovating flats in London, to now developing a new standard in retirement living in South Africa, my product has always been the focus. As we enter a new stage in this journey, in the retirement sector, we strive to present an updated vision of what is possible in this field. Developed by AVIEW and owner managed by the MANOR Group.

The service was able to deliver 90% of revenue generated to an artist from the proceeds of their music sales - which even today is quite a statement.
