Led the effort to quantify nutrition, drafted guiding documents and timelines for the Nutrition Team, and held significant organizational responsibility.

Research analyst for Matatu, an agricultural life science company working to harness the beneficial microbes in the gut bacterial microbiome for the benefit of livestock. Conducted in-depth literature reviews of scientific journal articles to guide business development. Was responsible for company branding and PR, including coalition building and website development.

Helped grow a variety of organic produce from mushrooms to greens. Cared for the free-range livestock, including cattle, pigs, chickens, quail, rabbits, and horses. Led the development and production of a hydroponic system for growing fodder shoots to feed the livestock through the winter.

Designed and carried out lab syntheses modeling the active site of the Carbon Monoxide Dehydrogenase protein (CODH). Separate computational research was done to explore the stability of variations on the structure of this active site. Developing a functional synthetic reproduction would have significant air pollution control application, as the protein naturally converts atmospheric carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide. This research was the basis for my undergraduate thesis in environmental studies and chemistry.
